What does the Bible say about financial giving?

Dear Pebblemount Family,

Greetings! So good to be back with you to take up a new topic along with Region 4.

So here goes.

Should we give away our hard earned money? If so, how much?

Hope you are all ready to listen and to share.

Tell us about your experience, tell us your testimonies. Declare out loud, what God has done! And don't forget to share your thoughts.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Love,

Titto

Secular music and movies, what does the Bible say?

Dear Family,

“…….whatever you do, do all to the glory of God”
-1 Cor 10:31

The topic for this fortnight’s discussion is:
Can Christians listen to secular music and watch secular movies? Does the Bible place any restriction on us in this regard?
So let’s start!

Blessings,

Marriage

Hello everybody,

We are starting a discussion about marriage. I believe that it is a
very important area where we all should be clear in our mind and
heart. So when Titto asked me to be involved, I was very glad.

I feel that it would be good for us to discuss one or two subtopics
at a time. Also the fact that most members are unmarried limits our
discussion to those relevant to such a group. So every few days I would
introduce a new area for discussion.

Many young people have some of the following thoughts/attitudes about
marriage:

' would take away all my freedom.hence try to postpone as much as
possible'
'necessary evil' !!
'dangerous in view of potential for pain, explosion etc'
'Marriage is a burden'
'dirty'!!
'want to get married as soon as possible'
'would take away lot of my time.'

What do you think is the right attitude regarding marriage?

Happy discussions!!
God bless you all.

Bro. Sunil.

Hello God seekers!

Region 5 here...reporting for duty!

John 15:15b '...but I have called you friends...'

With joy, excitement, and enthusiastic anticipation, we'd like to introduce our discussion question:

What kinds of friendships should we have with non-believers? Should we have non-Christian friends at all? If so, what are the boundaries (if any)? What is the aim; the focus (if any)?

Start the chatter! Who's first?

Obey authorities/not?What does God say?

Dear Pebblemount Family,
Philippians 2:8 - "He humbled Himself becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross"

Well, you may ponder what this verse has to do with our theme for the week, which is "How can we stand for God and also obey and honour authorities at the same time?"

Well,if thats got u thinking, then don't hold back.It was merely the insertion of the key, into the ignition slot. Many of us deal with this aspect in our daily lives, some of us struggle with obeying God and dealing with our authorities in various ways.Do share us your valuable insights in accordance with what God says in His Word.

May God open our hearts to receive what we learn from this discussion.
Stay Blessed!

Trusting in God

Dear All,

This is our first topic on this blog, so here goes. You can reply and add topical aspects by using the comments tag at the bottom of this page.

You have all, at one point in your life, said "I trust in God!" But we need to make something very clear : " How do you know that you are learning to trust in God more and more?" This is like a diamond and has many facets to it.

In its essence this is a personal question which you must be asking yourself. But there are important lessons along the journey. So share with us how we can practically grow into trusting him more and more.
